Law enforcement experience spanning over four decades, which include various leadership positions within the Boston Police Department. Served as a Police Practices Expert on Independent Monitoring Teams for US DOJ Consent Decrees involving the Virgin Islands Police Department; use of force polices/investigations of the Chicago Police Department; compliance issues involving the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department (MPD); and use of force policies/training of the Austin (Texas) Police Department. Presently serving as a Consultant/Police Practices Expert evaluating select MPD use of force incidents at the request of the Office of the District of Columbia Auditor. She obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA.
